©DIEGO AZUBEL/EPA/MAXPPP - epa07329228 Visitors walk into an art installation made of human hair, titled 'Folicule: A Toxi-Cartographic proposal for Bangkok,' by Spanish designer Deborah Lopez and Hadin Charbel of the USA during the Bangkok Design Week 2019, in Bangkok, Thailand, 29 January 2019. Using 30 kilograms of hair, donated by an NGO (non-governmental organization), Lopez and Charbel created a large felt which they turned into a human hair tent where visitors can go in and cut a small lock of their own hair. The locks of hair will then be sent to a lab where they will be analyzed to get toxicology data related to where each person resides, mainly focusing on heavy metals. The locks of hair are submitted anonymously, and each person can then use a unique code attached to each lock to find out the results. The Bangkok Design Week is a design festival showcasing art projects, cinema, talks and music around Bangkok.
